Pamela Maggied is one of the very few lawyers in Columbus with a certification in consumer bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification. Pamela Maggied’s law practice has been devoted to the bankruptcy and insolvency areas since she began in 1980. A solo practitioner since 1983, she continues to practice almost exclusively in the bankruptcy area, including debtor representation in Chapters 7 and 13 and, to a lesser extent, creditor representation in all chapters.
Born and raised in Gallipolis, Ohio, she graduated summa cum laude in 1975 from Ohio University in Athens and received her J. D. in 1979 from The Ohio State University College of Law.
Ms. Maggied has been certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification since 1993. She is a Columbus Bar Foundation Fellow, and belongs to the Columbus Bar Association. She is currently a member of its Lawyer Referral Service and Notary Committees. She has also been active in its Bankruptcy Committee since 1981, and has served on several of its sub-committees and spoken in its continuing education luncheon program and at its seminars. She is a former member of the Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee, which drafted the pre-ECF Rules of practice for the bankruptcy courts in Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton.
